That's completely true, but it's also not what I said. There is a difference between being able to work with a paradigm (which will take time, albeit not 10 years) and being able to write a proper critique of it. More so, if you wnat to do that in the way it was done in this article, you will need some time to get acquainted with other paradigms as well, or any comparison you make are mood points.
Seems we live in an era where it's more important to bash paradigms and technologies as soon as possible, rather than trying to understand them and put them to proper use.
My point is that whatever language you use, we are almost always learning some language, it is just expressed in a different form. Go is in this case expressing another language. It just happens to be expressed in verbose Go syntax.
You are making a case for Domain Specific Languages here, certainly given the example. Have you looked into those, as opposed to GPLs?
