That is absolute nonsense. Basic for example has been an interpreted language since it’s initial development in the 1970s. As are Forth, Python, Perl and many more. Also, JavaScript was (poorly) designed, not invented.

Note: When Javascript was invented, only Javascript use an interpreter in the engine.
