You were so close to hitting the right point and then you swerved of in the wrong direction. Being a data scientist is about real business problems indeed. No Python, SQL or other technology is going to make you a data scientist if you don’t understand the business and the questions it is asking. That is what you should learn next, before picking up yet another tool or technology. It’s about the data and the information you need to get out in the first place, not the tools. Try to understand the question before picking up the hammer.
